Cardinal Place is a labour of love for Mike Cardinal and his team. In 2014 Mike decided to create a custom designed retirement residence specifically to provide Windsor retirees with affordable accommodation and personal care in their twilight years.

Cardinal Place was created in 2014 by Mike Cardinal and his team. In his career as a Canadian Certified Counsellor and Windsor resident Mike has seen a proliferation of corporate owned and remotely managed retirement institutions enter the region and decided that discerning Windsorites might prefer a retirement home where the resident's best interests are the top priority.
The building, located in historic Old Sandwich Town, is full of character, not least because it was originally a Catholic convent known as "Holy Names Residence", for the teaching sisters of St. Mary's Academy. The current building was solidly constructed of concrete in 1977. In 2014 the building was extensively renovated to the very latest provincial standards, including a sprinkler system throughout, to provide even more safety and security. Room and suite choices include wall to wall carpet or tiled floors (out of consideration for those who have carpet or dust allergies).
