post-production for
companies small & large.
Joe Deagnon has published
comics since the late 80's
beginning with the five-
issue, underground series
Paranoid Tales of Neurosis.
Heralded as "Lowbrow and
Entertaining", "Hyper-Fun
and Sickly Twisted" and
"Bizarre and Wonderful", his
work has been described as
a combination of Harvey
Pekar meets Ralph
Steadman and dubbed "A
Mad Magazine for the 90s".
As a regular contributor to
the music weekly Exclaim
and the national film
magazine Film Threat, as
well as various underground
'zines in the 90s, he moved
his creative endeavors
online with the passing of
the new millennium.
The current comix
publishing project is a new
comic series entitled
"Chicken Outfit" co-written
with Kirby Stasyna (pictured
left-below). The series,
likened to a pitch-black 'Ren
and Stimpy' meets
'Duckman', has been called
"Refreshingly Weird",
"Entertaining and Cinematic"
and a contender for
"Underrated Cult Classic" by
the indie comix
underground.
Joe Deagnon attended
Sheridan College for
Animation and E.N.G. (video
journalism & editing),
entering his chosen field as
a post-production editor
before moving to Toronto in
1995 to publish comics and
develop online properties on
a new-fangled invention
called the "internet". He's
been working in the online
publishing industry ever
since.
