Canadians look for a deal when going on vacation

Almost all Canadians look for a good deal when booking a vacation, according to a new poll.
Canadians are also willing to change dates (60 per cent) and destinations (42 per cent) to get the deal they want, TD Canada Trust Travel Poll revealed.
Just under a quarter of Canadians will not travel if they can not find a good deal.
"Our research suggests that Canadians love to travel but being able to get the deal they want is an extremely important part of their travel planning, to the point where they are willing to be flexible on things like dates, mode of travel and even destinations," says Stacie Pearson, associate vice-president, TD Canada Trust Credit Cards.
Sixty-seven per cent of Canadians collect more travel rewards to save on their trip and 19 per cent have used it because of the sagging economy.
Peace of mind is not compromised, especially in time of economy uncertainty, as 58 per cent of Canadians get travel insurance when booking travel.
