$606.8 Million in Additional Funding for Community Futures, Aboriginal Businesses

The federal government has announced financing for two new programs to assist businesses across the country.

Community Future Development Corporations (CFDCs) across Canada will receive $300 million in funding to support local programs. Businesses are encouraged to check with their local CFDC to find out what assistance programs are available.

The federal government has also announced  up to $306.8 million for for short-term, interest-free loans and non-repayable contributions through Aboriginal Financial Institutions, which is expected to help 6,000 Aboriginal-owned businesses. (read announcement)
