Once incorporated, is a chequing account enough?

Expert: Rick Arnds

Anita asked:

I am employed as a child youth worker for an agency as an independent contractor. I am thinking of becoming incorporated.

Do I need a business chequing account to do this or can I simply open a separate chequing account?

Rick Arnds answered:

While all contract professionals need to address certain rules and regulations before being able to become incorporated, once that is done all you will need to do is open a separate Business chequing account in the name of the incorporated business.
