Can company have employees sign new employment agreement each year?

Expert: Howard Levitt

TL asked:

Can we have our employees sign a new employment agreement each year without setting the terms of the agreement to include a end date? If so, do we have to give them something return?

Howard Levitt answered:

Yes you can and yes you must. To change the terms of the agreement the employees must sign it voluntarily and get something new in return for what they are giving up.
